How to recover gold from cyanide solution is a non-filtering cyanide carbon slurry process that uses activated carbon to directly adsorb and recover gold from cyanide slurry, including preparation of leaching slurry, cyanide leaching, activated carbon adsorption, and gold-loaded carbon desorption. There are seven operation stages, including gold mud obtained by electric shock, recycling of de-gold charcoal, and treatment of leaching ore pulp.
Slurry impurity removal
The cyanide pulp should be treated with wood chips and other impurities before adsorption to avoid the gold and activated carbon in the wood chips from being absorbed into the pulp from being mixed into the rich carbon, and at the same time to prevent the wood chips from clogging the carbon screen.
Leaching and adsorption
Activated carbon is added to the leaching tank, and the activated carbon adsorbs the gold in the pulp to become gold-loaded carbon. After the adsorption is completed, the activated carbon is separated from the pulp by a carbon extraction screen.
The gold-loaded carbon can be quickly desorbed and electrolyzed into gold mud and lean carbon under the conditions of high temperature and high pressure in a closed system.
After simple pickling and removal of impurities, the obtained gold mud can be directly smelted to produce gold ingots.
The Xinhai Tanzania Gold Concentrator Project mainly adopts the carbon slurry adsorption method, using activated carbon to directly absorb and recover gold from the cyanide slurry. The main process flow includes: leaching slurry preparation, cyanide leaching, activated carbon adsorption, and gold-loaded carbon desorption. The gold mud is obtained by the motor, and the gold-removed carbon is circulated to the seven stages of leaching the ore pulp.
In the end, the daily processing capacity of 500t/d (including mining and beneficiation) ore will be obtained, and a gold concentrate with a recovery rate of up to 92.5% will be obtained.
